About Us
The General's Store was founded in 2014 in Hackney, East London and has grown to become a highly respected barbershop.
We wanted the Margate shop to reflect our 'pop up' roots and to bring some of that feel to the seaside. Opened in June 2023 and located just off the High Street in the UpMargate collective space, local resident and barber Sam will be taking care of things down by the coast. We offer top quality haircuts and beard trims in a unique and friendly space as well as complimentary cold drinks during your visit. Our own Hair Product range was launched in 2017. The full range is available to purchase in store.

Margate resident Sam has 10 years of experience in the hair industry working in the best salons and barbershops in both London and Singapore. He has a broad knowledge of total male image including haircuts and beard design. You can find Sam in both our London and Margate stores.
